Are you (temporarily) working in the Netherlands? And would you like to learn Dutch for everyday purposes or for the State Exam NT2?
We offer various language courses for Expats. You can join us for a course that suits your personal ability and ambition, either in the evening or on Saturdays, at VU University Amsterdam or in-company. Check out our course programme and choose a course that suits you best!
Evening course Dutch for work and study
With our evening course 'Dutch for work and study’, you will learn the basics of the Dutch language (CEFR level A1) within eight weeks. After the first course, you can choose to continue in the next levels (CEFR A2 to B2). You are free to determine how many courses you would like to take and what level you want to achieve. The courses take place twice a week on Monday and Thursday evening.
If your first language is German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian or Afrikaans, you can also choose to take the fast track of this course, which will enable you to reach level B2 in just 7 months!
Saturday course Everyday Dutch
Are you looking for a practical, semi-intensive language course? Is being able to speak Dutch not a necessity for your work, but you would like to have conversations with colleagues, be able to shop and order a beer or wine? In short, Dutch for everyday purposes?
Join our Saturday course 'Everyday Dutch'. Within four months, you will learn to use and understand the basics of Dutch language (CEFR level A2). Daily relevance, at home and at work, is the leading line.
The course is especially designed for people who have a demanding job and not much time to take classes during the week. Everyday Dutch is a e-learning course with only 8 Saturday morning classes, which gives you the opportunity to combine it with your work.
Day time courses
Would you like to learn Dutch at a high level? Or are you planning on taking the Dutch State Exam NT2? Take a look at our intensive daytime course ‘Dutch for State Exam II’. The pace of the course is fast, with 4 lessons per week in the morning time.
You can join at any level and you are free to determine how many courses you would like to take and what level you want to achieve (CEFR level A2 to B2).
For companies and organisations with foreign employees, VU-NT2 organizes custom-made training and incompany courses.
